We all know that the Belgian’s have been making tonnes of waves lately.. Netsky & Eptic are just 2 examples. But you can add Brownz & Requake to that list aswell. Requake is a name we’re all familiar with now ever since they released their infamous Waterdrops EP last year. Brownz may be the new kid on the block but is making SERIOUS waves for himself. After his mighty Padawan release on Broken (run by DJ Murdock) We felt it was time to show you this guy’s productions.
The EP starts off with “Creep” a track that has been creeping into a lot of people their playlists already. And no wonder because the Brownz & Requake combo fits perfectly here. Its dark, wobbely and sounds like Dubstep should be.. Dark, murky and dangerous. Brownz goes solo on the next one entitled “They Don’t Sleep” a serious chest rattler if there ever was one. Heavy kicks and a pounding sub is the order of the day here.. And one of the many reasons you should keep your eye out for this fellow! Requake are taking on the remix duties for “They Don’t Sleep” and turning it into a straight up dark one. Again this one takes you back into the golden oldie days that we love so much. And now we know why again. Just subs and beats… rrrrr
